I have lived in Toronto for 35 years and I know the historic neighbourhoods of our city very well. I have active dialogue with local government, police and public education and I participate in the communities in which I live and work. I support local children’s programs with fundraising and volunteering in North Toronto, Parkdale, Roncesvalles and Cedarvale.
As an instructor with the Toronto Real Estate Board, my passion is improving the health of our local and global environment. Given the recent changes in global weather systems and the evidence locally of this phenomenon, it is difficult to refute the urgency of action required. You will find some resources on this web site about how to make your home more energy efficient, and how to capitalize on a green real estate movement. Periodically I will offer workshops on how you can be part of the solution. Some simple and obvious opportunities are shopping locally, taking transit, insulating your green home, installing solar and engaging green roof initiatives.
