BBQ and 35 year Celebration

(rain day June 11th)

Celebrate the preservation of one of our City's most important greenspace assets, Cedarvale Ravine.

The Modern turning point for Cedarvale Ravine (Cedarvale Park) happened in the mid 1960s when pro-car urban planners and developers sought to expropriate private lands and homes to build an expressway through the ravine and south through the Annex.  In 1971 the program was put down, and as a result Cedarvale Park stands as a moniker of people-oriented urban planning - a 40 acre public recreation and conservation area.

This Park is subway accessible from the north at Eglinton Ave. West Station and from the South at St.Clair Ave West Subway Station (Heath St. Exit).

Marc Paille and I are hosting a community BBQ and celebration of the 35th anniversary of the preservation of the park and I hope you and your family will consider coming to the celebration.

Please call or e-mail for further information.
