Plastic bottles overfill the blue boxes on the streets of Toronto. If they are not recylceld these same bottles will last 500 years in landfill. When you pay $1.00 for a bottle of water you are paying for the cost of the container, the cost of bottling the water, the cost of transporting the water from the bottling source, and of course profit margin for the manufacturer and vendor. The funny thing is you are already paying for clean drinking water. Your taxes pay for clean drinking water.

Where does the bottled water come from? Do the distributors of bottled water acquire the water from some source detached from the industrial pollution that affects our water table in Ontario?

Ontario is uniquely rich in the resource of clean, fresh drinking water. Take advantage of it, don't be taken advantage of. Clean Tap Water is an integral part of my Urban Dream, is it part of yours? www.toronto.ca/water
